You probably know what I mean. Its run day, you know you aren't feeling up for it but feel beyond guilty at even considering missing it?
I run Tues, Thurs and Sundays. So I always feel out of sync when I have the 2 day window. I decided to go anyway but knew straight away it was the wrong choice. I did everything to get into it, tried my new app, new music, mixed up the route. My body just said no my legs were so heavy.
I am refusing to cry, I will get back out there. I'm having to stop myself going back out again today. I always have this feeling of impending doom that I have stopped, Im not a runner, I will get even fatter!! I need to stay positive and resist hiding in a tin of biscuits...
I hope you are all having much better days?

Hi Jenn, you are a runner, you've got the badge and everything! I think you just have to put it behind you and don't let a bad run ruin your confidence, think about all the other runs you did well to get to this point. When i don't feel like running but it's run day i don't dwell on it, i just put my running gear on as quickly as possible and start marching up the road listening to Laura, it's a bit too late to turn round by then, the neighbours would think i'm mad and not losing face has become quite a motivation!
You've done so well, one bad day does not undo all you have achieved.
Hi Natalie, thank you I won't let it get to me, just get frustrated. Saving face is a huge motivation! I will put this one aside and focus on Tuesday! Cant be too grumpy, I still did 2 miles, albiet slowly! Thank you, your post means a lot :)...also congrats on your run today!
As above - put it behind you - for those days - I always have the audio fuel pyramid podcast which is about 22 mins of interval running - which you can walk in the intervals. So I can at least say I have done something- even if short and sharp. And you did two miles - brilliant. You could have stead in and not done the two miles!!
