Annual report.....

So it's a year since I started this programme... What have I learnt?

1. It works! A year ago I couldn't run more than 30 seconds, this week I ran for 45 mins with no problems!

2. Laura is great, but running to your own music is better

3. Getting breathing right is really important

4. Most of my blocks are mental rather than physical, believing you can do it is so important

5. Some runs are good, some are bad, but at least you are running

6. I like running alone and in the winter, summer was just too hot!

7. Runners are a fantastic and supportive community!

8. Injuries happen, but they get better, just give them time and get a good physio

And finally...

I love running!

Great summary Tess.

I tried point 2 yesterday for the first time. I couldn't have got to the end of week 5 without Laura's encouragement.

But it liberating to play your own stuff.

Well done for not stopping at 30 minutes but making it a lifestyle....

I love your annual report and agree with your summary. Running is helping me in so many ways, and one of my lads commented yesterday "you are I looking so good now mum,". And that's after only 3 months. So roll on a year. I got a new job yesterday and found myself looking at the location of the new school and thinking what a great place to run!

I love running!

I too love running but have had quite a few non running issues broken tibia and now rheumatoid in my knee thanks to 9 weeks in a full leg plaster however I long to run and just love the sport off to the tropical sunshine tomorrow and just packed my trainers and sports bra ! Perhaps the sun will help my knee but I WILL return !

Have a great time in the sun and I look forward to hearing that your knee improves quickly.

Congratulations on your first, couldn't agree with your assessment more, except i don't mind summer :-) Enjoy your next year

It's great to hear you're summary, I'm currently at wk6,run2 and am really looking forward to graduating but keeping up the momentum of running 3 times a week :)
