Hey welcome to the forum!
Sounds like you are doing great!
Good luck on your journey, make sure you keep updating us on how you're doing!
Oh and I didn't see any difference with my weight until just before I graduated, so doing the longer runs regularly, so don't give up hope!
It took me a while too, but better late than never. You will get plenty of support and advice on here. We are all either doing C25k or are graduates, so understand your concerns and queries.
Will you do week six? If you take it steady and don't rush, of course you will. Just look how far you have come- that takes effort and belief. You will do it. Good luck and keep us posted.
Hi, I just found the forums too!
I think I must be 1 week ahead of you on the programme, I just completed week 6 today. You've already done week 5, so you can easily do week 6. You get to go back to the interval training again for the first 2 runs, and they feel super easy after running for 20 minutes
I'm wishing that I was seeing some weight loss too, I've been following a slight calorie restriction that aims to lose an average of 1lb per week since a couple of weeks before I started the C25k programme, but so far I've only lost about 4lb People keep telling me that I'm probably converting fat into muscle, but it doesn't feel any better when I was hoping to lost a stone before the end of October!
However, I'm really enjoying the running, even now that it's getting quite cold in the mornings, and I'm feeling other health benefits too, like my dodgy knees and feet are hurting less, and I've stopped snoring for some reason! So I'll keep running, and hope the weight loss follows in time.
Keep at it!
**Edited for typos**
I have not lost much weight either, around 6lb. I started running back May/June time. My partner who used to be a fitness instructer keeps telling me to get off the scales as muscle weighs more than fat. My body shape has changed slightly as clothes look better. So you probably have burnt fat off and turned it into muscle.
