Trying to get motivated tonight!

I've only started this week but 2 runs into week 1 and going well! Except today I have had a very busy day running around with a very active 4 year old (I have no idea where they get the energy)! It has also just started raining and I'm trying hard to find my get up and go for run number 3!

I know (they drain the energy from us), how hard it is to do anything else whilst running around after a youngster, but trust me, this time for you will become a very welcome break away from it all, well done for getting started, we are all here behind you :-)

I find it so liberating to be out on my own (without a pushchair, changing bag etc) so nothing is keeping me from my runs at the moment! Although I must admit, I'm a bit less exhausted on the morning runs rather than the evenings, but it's finding time to fit around the kids.

Keep going, you're doing really well! I'm starting week 4 on Sunday and can't wait! :)

I find the nights when I have to force myself out are the best runs.......I really don't fancy it, but as soon as I'm out there I am so glad I am! I also love the freedom of being able to run.......at my own speed, without having to look behind me or beside me, or have arguments about holding hands, or answering questions about why the leaves are green.......or telling someone off for throwing their toy away.........or having to beg and plead that someone hurries up and stops dawdling and looking at stones............

Thanks everyone - loved the comments about the joy of running and walking on your own - without bags full of juice/snacks/toy cars/the stick picked up in the park, answering hundreds of random questions and having to go back and find a toilet 5 mins after you've left the coffee shop when they promised they didn't need to go! I did go out tonight in the end and feeling a bit sore but definitely enjoyed it. Bring on week 2 (maybe throw in a few morning sessions?) - downloading the podcast now. Thanks again :)
