Cornish anglers, muddy estuaries and woodland tracks...

I'm here on holiday in lovely Cornwall and I've been doing the same run every other day since we got here... Here's the lowdown:

One week= 45k on the clock... Flipping heck that's alot, I think it's the whole holiday, less stress thing

Ran past some very tattooed fisherman the other day and the all moved their chairs for me and were really friendly. I felt like stopping and asking for one of their rolies ( I didn't!!)

The woodland track is like an obstacle course and I'm hoping its helped my fitness level doing all the steps and leaping over roots. It made me feel free and in touch with my inner animal.

All the runners ( apart from one... A model type with a tiny dog who stank of perfume) smiled at me... It made me so happy. I finally felt one of the gang.

I hope you are all having a good summer...?

Happy running

X

Was it the model-type or the tiny dog who stank of perfume? Eau de Bone? But Aftabs is right - you're putting lots of Ks on the clock. Attagirl!!

Did the tiny dog keep up with her or was it in a handbag?

The tiny dog was daintily trotting along next to her avoiding the mud!!!

Sounds absolutely great. Like all the best holidays you'll be going back to work in search of a rest. :) Sounds as though you're doing 10k every other day - that's so impressive.

Absolutely teeming with runners here at the moment - including a few of those model types with the obligatory icy stare (though without the little smelly dogs).

You know it feels so good... I'd so like to stop work, just run and live in a boat... Simple life.

I did laugh, she had one of those pretty minute dogs that people put in handbags and she wasn't dirty like me, so clearly hadnt gone too far ( I was covered in mud by then).

Had a pleasant 5k run along the seafront this morning with a couple of model types (sans dogs), but they were infinitely more friendly than your example and hardly stopped chattering the whole way, even when I tried to step up the pace in the last 1k. I think they were probably just patronising their aged father but really just trying out their new Sweaty Betty outfits. :)

It sounds good!

We're off on hols soon, I'm looking forward to the new places to run (Northumberland coastal path here I come) but dreading hubby finding out how far and how long I run for (he's normally at work), he'll think I'm obsessed (yes I am, but he doesn't need to know)!

Love it... No doubt he will be hugely impressed... Mine is a bit scared of my new found fitness and figure!!! Have a fantastic holiday x
