Grinning like mad along most of the route of my run this morning. Following along from the 'naked' running post I was listening to The Navy Lark for an hour (putting shoes on and warm up walk as well as run, did a long run Saturday so only went out for a 'short' one today). Worth listening to, I'd forgotten how simply funny it is, with no innuendoes (except for Lt Phillips of course) or bad language and CPO Pertwee really knows how to curse someone ("you are a stupid, idiotic, dim-witted, addle-brained, left-handed, feeble-minded, bone-headed, nonsensical, infantile, half-baked, blunt-brained, puerile, unenlightened, quixotic, spoon-fed, know-nothing, thick-skulled, beef ???, steaming great clod!" (apologies about the 'left-handed' bit, this was made before we were all PC)). Brilliant!
Another couple of episodes tomorrow, then it'll be Just a Minute for Wednesday's long run!

Keep time? As in run to the beat or know when it's time to turn round and go home?
Run to the beat: I don't, I just run, however fast or slow that's how fast I run. My 'natural' speed is about 6:30 per k, it's comfortable and I can go for quite a while.
Time to go home: no time restrictions this morning, I knew I had time to do my circuit so wasn't rushing or dawdling, just running.
I do do an interval session generally once a week, on the treadmill, and just set the speed to 'comfy' 9kph or 'fast' 12kph manually as I go and the timer tells me to. That's as close to anything structured that I get. I do have my (PINK!!!) garmin with me, that will tell me the time/how long I've been out and if I feel the need can set it to pace me, but I've only done that in RfL coz I wanted to come in under 30 minutes, though I am feeling the need to chase a parkrun PB soon so will have to set that up again.
