Yay - 5 mile run, first for a while!

Wanted to know if I could still run close to 5 miles after the setback with the thigh problem, so the aim was to run for at least 45mins, preferably an hour and see how far I got.

Set the Garmin to Miles instead of Kms so that I could have an idea of how far a mile is - and blimey, it feels a lot further than a kilometer!! Anyway, upshot is, I ran just over 5miles in 54:34 and I'm very pleased with that! I didn't see any point in continuing for the hour, it was so hot and I was getting slower and slower and didn't want to cause any more problems.

Straight back into a lovely cold bath to relax the muscles, a bag of Hula Hoops to replenish my salt levels and just about ready for a cuppa and a garibaldi!

That's good news. I changed to miles last week as well - it is along way. Now I've put in 1/2 mile alerts just to try and keep myself going.
