Garmin Ordered!!!!

I'm sooooo excited! Just ordered myself a Garmin 610!!!! I've been at this running lark a year now so I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with it now, it's my birthday in July & I'm doing a 10k the week before so it seemed like the right time to treat myself! So excited. Just had to share with people who understand!!!

I have just bought a garmin and love it. Sounds obvious But do read the instructions - trying to work out what to do on a run and fiddling and not getting it right was a bit frustrating - but my impatience to be out running with it. I now have several runs tracked - and can see where i am slowing up and getting faster. ha ha -get us and our technology - who would have thought it

I've just bought the 610 much better than the 210 that it replaced, mind unlike the 210 you really do need to read the manual especially the bit about pressing the screen hard. Too early to say anything about reliability, but I was ready to send the 210 back after the first 2 months because of the charging/data transfer issues. No such trouble with the 610.

I realise this is a very old post - but would you recommend a 610 now? They are ridiculously cheap for what seems like a fantastic amount of features.
