Hi Guys, Being on week 8 now run 2, I can now run 28 minutes non stop but how do I know the actual distance I have run?? I don't really have a running route I just run here and there and everywhere!
How far am I running though???: Hi Guys, Being... - Couch to 5K
How far am I running though???

Do you have a smartphone? Something like mapmyfitness or runtastic will show how far you run. The GPS based ones are prob more accurate!?!?

I use Endomondo on my blackberry and an iPod and find it works well, good luck Pat

If you don't have the tech stuff Good Run Guide (goodrunguide.co.uk/) has a route measurer map. So as long as you know where you're running, ie roads, footpaths, across fields whatever, you can measurer it there. You can try it out as a guest, sign up for a month's trial or just sign up. Costs £20 a year but there are no annoying ads and lots of great features.

I always used mapometer or map my run....now I have a Garmin GPS watch

Mapmyrun.com is another route plotter which is free where you can measure, log and save your runs. It's pretty easy to use and has some useful features.
I used to use Endmondo on a borrowed smartphone to map my runs, but I found it could be wildly inconsistent (ie run the same route twice, but the distance vary by over 1/2 km). So I just started mapping on google maps. It was a bit frustrating as I didn't actually know how far I'd gone until I got back, or I had to map the route before I ran it.
I've just invested in a GPS watch, to be delivered later this week. I am hoping that it will make life easier.
Thanks peeps!
