Well, I listened to Laura and changed my route. I had a nice gentle downhill at the start and then 10 minutes uphill. Smaller steps worked and the change of route made it interesting. The joy of some downhill at the end was decreased slightly by the fact my legs had had enough!
I am lucky to live near some woods and a park with lots of different tracks through them. The birds were singing and the sun out so the sea was glistening once more. A friend has just done a parkrun under 30 minutes for the first time so when I next see her she might get me doing one. I'll have about 6 months to get to that point!
I am so enjoying doing this plan and would encourage anyone to give it a go.
