Does anyone know how you can find out if your local area has any of those exercise parks with proper equipment in them.

I see them on tv programmes but never in real life.

You wouldn't by any chance be in the Manchester area? There's one in Worthington Park, Sale.

I know that's not what you're asking about, but I thought it was worth mentioning the parkrun website - though it's mostly aimed at people already running 5k. Parkruns are brilliant, and lots of big towns/cities have them now.

Your local council website might be useful if they are responsible for parks in your area?
