2 weeks in, but had to stop due to hip pain.... :-(

Really, really gutted about this. Felt great about completing week 2 on Sat, but then the real pain started to kick in. Could hardly walk on Mon and had to go to GP. Had the expected stiff legs, pains etc. during the 2 week period, but nothing that I hadn't experienced before with previous sports activity. The real problem started with very painful hips - started in the groin area but spread all around. I had previous similar pain around Nov last year for no apparent reason. Spend a lot of time sitting, so changed work chair etc. and seemed to come & go since then. But I've obviously got something amiss, as the jogging has really disturbed something in the hip region. Anti-inflammatory drugs prescribed and easing things a bit, but walking is still hard work, so no prospect of getting back into C25K anytime soon. If this was just a one-off direct result of the jogging, then fair enough, but the fact that I've had similar pain (but not anywhere near as bad) prior to starting this, would indicate an underlying problem. Like I said, gutted.

Sorry this has happened to you, it also happened to me after I completed C25k. It was labelled as Piriformis syndrome.

After about 6 weeks I was back on the road all be it slowly, so don't give up, be patient and you will get back in the programme.

Thanks, that's encouraging to hear. We'll see how things go over the next week, hopefully things will ease enough to make walking possible!

Hope you manage to get it sorted out without too much trouble. It must be very disappointing.
