Copd emphysematous

Hi it will get worse over time, but you can slow down the process by using any inhaler(s) you have been prescribed. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2015 or 2016 and it's only been in the last year that my symptoms have got worse, in that I get short of breath when climbing stairs or when I walk too far without a break.
I do feel for you. I was told I had COPD after a routine X-Ray and just felt that " I had to get on with it". However, the Asthma and Lung website is brilliant and will give you loads of information. Please talk it over with your GP who should refer you to a respiratory nurse in the practice ( presuming you are from UK) who will review you, write an individual care plan and guide you through any questions . Hopefully, you will then be able to access a Pulmonary Rehabilitation course.
I do hope you are soon able to get the help you need and that you keep in touch - you are not alone and the members here are a great support! xx
