Well finally I had my video consultation with the R. Brompton Respiratory Team, the consultant was very pleasant but frankly I have the impression that I will not be a candidate for an intervention. I honestly feel like crying my eyes out, and just giving up. Sorry to be such a grump!

You are not a grump Woofly, we get our hopes built up and then fall flat on our faces at the whim of someone changing their mind or opinion. Presumably the consultant will write to your GP with their decision. Really sorry you have had such a let down but don't give up hope until you have heard further from them.
Thank you Dids for the optimistic reply! you have more faith than me. Have to say I am on a real downer, I was pinning my hope on at least a glimmer of hope. Heyho.... not to be.
I think I would be on a downer too and understand how you are feeling. I think the 'powers that be' are unaware of the impact they make when your glimmer of hope has been blown out. Back in early March I was being referred to a different consultant to query a particular medication that may have helped my breathing. My GP wrote to the consultant and has heard nothing since. When I ask my GP if he has had any reply he throws his hands in the air and tells me that with the Covid situation my referral isn't going to happen. How is it that we keep being told that our medical services are still there for us despite Covid and to still see our doctors if needs be??????
Have a good cry, it should make you feel a little less stressed. Just pay attention to your breathing. I agree with Dids, wait till you hear something, and if they do say no, ask your doctor for options, other avenues, where to go next. Unfortunately we have to be our own best advocate.
