Today my son Paul turns 46. He's been a good caregiver for me since I've been diagnosed with emphysema in 2002. In fact, he's the first to suggest lots of exercise. Our parental/offspring relationship has been a rollercoaster ride, but worth it in the long run. I remember when I first had him all the older ladies asked me if he was worth the labor pain, I smiled and shook my head yes all the while thinking are you kidding me? A little being who screams all night for no reason. Then there came the cuteness; Pouty faces, snuggles, etc. We get along well now and he plays classical piano pretty well and I am proud of him. He also composes music and lyrics.

Happy Birthday ๐ฅณ (belated) to Paul. Glad he is looking after you. ๐xx
Hi granny, what a blessing to have your son being a good caregiver to you. I too have my oldest son living with me & helping me out. He's 49 & has always been single so it's good for both of us. It beats being home alone, esp when I'm sick. What a joy it must be to hear your son playing the piano, esp songs that he composed. I see why you're proud of him. Enjoy your time together & add on to all those good memories. Terri ๐
Terri, hi! What a nice reply. Isn't it wonderful when your own son becomes your best friend when you get older and sick? I'm proud of the man he's become. He's generous with anyone in need, that's heartwarming.
