Concentrators

Gary 12345, when I got mine almost two years ago, they gave you a large concentrator for the home and the portable oxygen bottles for walking around and I remember they only lasted about 4 hours. I then began to read about portable concentrators but, as you say, Medicare didn't pay for those. The more I read the more I wanted one so I bought one, $3,000+, but to me, well worth it. There are many kinds now so if your interested you might investigate. I bought an INOGENONE-G3 and I'm pleased with mine. It comes with a 4 hour battery and an 8 hour battery but I bought another 8 hour battery just in case especially if you fly. I understand that some providers are now giving out portable concentrators instead of bottles. Good luck.

I had both a portable and the home concentrator and Medicare paid for both. I recently sent them back to them back to the company and I'm now on compressed gas which is the tanks. In case your are not aware those Home Concentrators use a lot of electric power and do run up your bill.

If you use over 3 LPM on continous flow the little portable concentrators may not put enough air out for you. Let the buyer beware. I purchased one and it did not work enough for me as i require 5 lpm cf at times...cost me over six hundred dollars to return it, even tho they assured me it would work for me. I might sugest renting one first. just saying....
