They shouldn't be that way. You should be able to use your oxygen anywhere you are. Will pray for you and have a blessed day.

@lanesf,hello. I don't know what a dv shelter is , but, why won't they allow you to use oxygen? Have never heard of this being banned anywhere. Could hardly be because of smoking, as, there is hardly anyplace one can smoke, anywhere, even outdoors. This does not seem normal nor even humane. Good luck and God Bless. Would be wonderful if you could find somewhere else to live

That's a bummer about no oxygen. If you require it, use it! you are doing yourself a diservice to you health by furthering ruining your lungs. There is what's called a reasonable accomidation for request...try that. If not get ahold of your services and find someone that can help you. Put an ad on bullention boards to room share. Anything good luck

I guess no one understands. I have no income no family and there aren't any empty beds at domestic violence shelters in this state. I barely have enough to eat. I have exactly $3.00 to my name. I'm doing the best I can

Thanks for prayers and concern

look for a disability advocate. How can a domestic violence shelter not allow oxygen. that is mindboggling.

Shelter should make arrangements to assist you. Speak up.... ask for special needs help... get a social service worker involved.
