Rectal cancer post surgery

Hi I would like to know an average recovery time for work having had rectum and coccyx removed this still is painful now am still on pain relief so can't operate machinery meaning I can't go back to work and stat sick will run out soon as I had chemo and radium therapy before op this is making me anxious as well as the constant pain makes me quite irritable any ideas?

Hi

I went back to work too soon, it set me back 6 months. Take it steady, rely on information from the professionals They do know best

Hi Stingray don’t dispare I had same op with chemo and radiotherapy before op , didn’t have coccyx removed but my god they must have bashed it with a club hammer , took me about a year to actually feel like me again so stick with it and good luck
