maybe can do stool test for inflammation/bacteria and occult blood. I will do one month from now cause I just removed a precancerous polyp and I still have some bleeding and why one month later cause the Dr said currently Iβm confirmed infection so no point testing now
It is the cause because my Dr told me when he scope in, he saw that polyp bleeding so eventually I also donβt know why there is still bleeding, probably just like another member said it shld be the removal of polyps and it took a while before the blood subside, they did prescribe me Tranexamic to stop the bleeding but I was wondering whether to take or not cause one of the side effect is diarrhoea, my tummy is no good so I donβt wish for diarrhoea, Iβm still pondering whether to eat or not. When will you be going for your colonoscopy, I am the urgent type, I hope to solve my health problems asap but I know sometimes it takes time
The results are a level of (CRP) a protein which is a marker of inflammation and can be present in elevated quantities in cases of malignancy.
I am below the high threshold so I am a little more reassured for the moment.
tomorrow morning I will take my stool test to the analysis laboratory
I'll let you know
regarding the gastroenterologist for the colonoscopy there is a 9 month wait π. so we will try to speed things up thanks to our family doctor who knows a gastroenterologist.
9 months. Wow. I hate to hear that. That is just unacceptable. I called to schedule my annual colonoscopy and it was 3 weeks out. I was kinda shocked as it is usually several months, but mine is surveillance and not due to symptoms. My local hospital is making all kinds of changes to better respond to patient needs. I can see it's beneficial so far. Colonoscopies are a major part of screenings and a 9 month wait is ridiculous.
Today is my colonoscopy day, I have it at 3:30 p.m. (French time).
Last night I drank 1L of (XIMEPEG) a laxative essential to have a clean intestine before the colonoscopy. then 1L of pure water.
same procedure this morning but with 50 centiliters of water after the 1L of XIMEPEG which has a taste of salt water and a taste of chemical lime π€’ not very good π
There you go, I will keep you informed of the results of my colonoscopy π
I see a lot of people wondering about their symptoms and not giving any updates on their colonoscopy results π...
Hi Carl! Tell me please for how long you been bleeding before the colonoscopy? Whats your age? I got the same problem and I am having mine first colonoscopy in 15 days and very scared that is too late for me, because I first saw blood in my stool about 5 years ago...
