I’m so glad I found this group. 40yr male. For about three weeks I’ve had loose BMs in the morning. Visited naturopath, blood work looks great, had an abdominal CT looks great but it doesn’t matter what I do. I have scheduled a colonoscopy but I’m honestly freaking out. The stool used to look normal although not as bulky, i have added fiber but now it’s floating and still really loose. It’s not quite diarrhea. Also lots of stomach gurgles. Anyone else have these symptoms?
RBC is excellent, no anemia, no abdominal pain or discomfort- just shear anxiety which I should note is pretty severe medical anxiety, I have struggled for 2 years with it.
Thank you

Hello. I know exactly how you feel because how you feel now is exactly how I've been feeling for weeks on end. It's horrible. I've posted today, after my first colonoscopy, on my profile. It's quite long and lengthy and I've gone into as much detail as I possibly could. Maybe have a read and hopefully it helps somehow.
Hi I just came across your post. Any update? I'm having similar symptoms and have my colonoscopy consultation today! I too suffer with extreme health anxiety which is starting to ruin my life to be honest. Used to be heart attacks (anxiety induced chest pain) but now bowel cancer. I wouldn't be so scared if I didn't have my daughter to worry about, when you are a parent the thought of the worst is unbearable! Please let me know how you got on
Colonoscopy was clear, my symptoms disappeared for a month after. Now my Dr suspects SIBO or dysbiosis. I have been transitioning to a carnivore diet and it’s helped.
Hiya thanks for checking in. Luckily all good to my surprise! The doctor did a minor examination with a camera (not a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy) and couldnt see anything. He said he was pretty confident it's likely diet related and recommended I do a FIT test instead of colonoscopy. After a very long month wait I had a letter yesterday saying results all normal! Thanks again 😊
