on the 12th of February 2023 I done a stool test & FIT test which my GP requested.
On the 17th February 2023 at 19;30pm I received a call from my doctor to say that both test have came back positive and my FIT was high.
I was on 2WW. I’ve started getting tummy pains & the urge constantly that after going a toilet I still have feeling that I need to empty my bowels
I could be on toilet for up to an hour or more .
I’m having loads of mucus when I open my bowels which are like a thick orange in colour with red in mucus too. I had my colonoscopy on 9th March but half way through it was aborted due to pain & an obstruction. I have just received another appointment for 23rd March . I’m so scared as I feel something is wrong.

Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. Sorry for the delay as I had to travel. I am proud of you in getting things done and getting answers to what's going on. I hate to see you are dealing with these issues. It's tough. So, you are scheduled for another colonoscopy. I see what happened during the last one. I would think a CT scan would ordered to take a better look at the whatever the obstruction was. Maybe that's a point of discussion between you and your doctor.
I had an obstruction as well, but I had a CT scan first as I could physically feel a 'knot' in my lower abdomen. So, I did CT scan then the colonoscopy. I get knocked out completely for my colonoscopies. They use propofol on me for that. I had an obstruction they couldn't get past as well. For me, it was very quick. I had a CT Scan and two days later I was standing in front of a surgeon who set up my very first colonoscopy the next morning. I was 49. I would think with an obstruction like that, you're in for some surgery as well to remove it. It is what it is at this point and getting on the path to wellness and putting this behind you should be the focus and the goal. It can be kinda scary but you gotta face it and deal with it. Please feel free to ask me anything. 👍😁
Another thing to think about is if there is any family history of health issues going on. If there is, that may trigger some further tests to determine if that is in play as well.
Until you get your answers, you are left to speculating on what's happening. You are on your way to getting those answers in a good way. March 23 is 10 days out. Maybe you can get that moved up? I'm not sure what the protocol is for back-to-back colonoscopies. I've had back to back endoscopies and they were about a week apart for those.
We do wish you the very best in dealing with these issues. You are absolutely doing what needs to be done to get your answers. Please let us know what you find out. Info like that can prove to be helpful to others on this site. I have been through a lot of this as well. I find it good to talk about it and get it out in the open.
