I had a colonoscopy four weeks ago and since had CT and MRI I was told at colonoscopy they had found a tumour . Went up to hospital today to get scan results and have been told colon tumour has metastasised to liver both lobes and is inoperable. They are organising chemo and I will hear from them within next couple of weeks. As you can imagine I am shell shocked and devastated. Be interesting to hear other sufferers stories. Just need a chink of light .

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. I am so very sorry to hear what you are having to deal with. I have been there. It's not fun.
I was also floored rather quickly as I went from a routine physical followed by a ct scan which put me in front of a surgeon that scheduled a colonoscopy and then partial colectomy surgery in 7 days. I had stage 4 metastatic colon cancer.
It's amazing how a cancer fight can consume your life in a blink of an eye. Cancer chose to fight you. You have to fight back. Make sure you have a good cancer fighting team. I see they are already organizing chemo regiments for you.
First thing my Oncologist ordered was genetic testing. I did this before my first chemo infusion. You need to know your biomarkers as that can possibly lead you beneficial therapies as well as know which therapies could do more harm.
See if the TruSight Oncology Comprehensive (EU) is something you can participate in (link below will tell you all about it). There are so many targeted therapies. You need to know all about "you" and that may turn out to be beneficial in your fight.
Find out about biomarkers. There is some excellent information about biomarkers here: knowyourbiomarker.org/
This effort was started March of 2022 .. watch the videos here:
