Also I know this is gross but i have a ton of gas and it has a smell like burnt rubber
Hi ! I have the same problem apart from the mucus . My stools are round hard balls and sometimes when I pass stool I feel a sharp pain followed by blood which is bright red . Sometimes it’s only a bit on the toilet paper , sometimes it can be a lot and the whole toilet water is red . I went to the doctors and she told me it was highly unlikely it was sinister . She examined me and said she couldn’t feel anything unusual which made it very likely I had an internal Hemorrhoid and gave me medication to insert into my anus which melts and helps heal internal Hemorrhoids . These Hemorrhoids can be due to straining to much , dehydration , constipation or through anything being inserted into the anus .
A few questions :
How old are you
Do you think you could be dehydrated
Any sharp pain around the anus when passing stool
What colour is the blood
Don’t worry in most cases it is caused by something non sinister . But it is always best to check
I am 40 there is a tremendous amount if pain. Red blood not a lot. The scary thing is what my anus liiks lije.
Sounds to me like constipation or chronic constipation . Up your fibre and water intake by a double and exercise regularly. Sit in warm baths daily if you can . At the same time book an appointment with a doctor so they they can prescribe you some medication which will help speed things up along side home remedies. Usually when there is a problem in the digestive tract the blood is in the poo and it is black and tarry, indicating it has been sat there for a while . Red blood indicates it is fresh and lower down for example in the anus / rectum . If your anus is swollen and red this will be as it has been under a lot of pressure .
Try home remedies for a while and see what the doctor says . I’m sure it will be ok
Hello CarsonDrew ,Thanks for posting and I'm sorry to hear about what you are experiencing. There are some great tips in the comments. I do think you need to contact your primary care, and they may perform an examination, and even refer you to a GI.
When you speak to your doctor, be sure you let them know what meds you are on, as well as anything over the counter. A lot of prescription and over the counter meds can cause GI distress, including constipation. Also let them know about how much liquid you are drinking, dehydration will make it harder to pass stools (and make the stools themselves harder).
There are a lot of potential causes for your symptoms, but in order to diagnose and treat whatever it is that you have going on, you'll need to see a medical professional. They can also rule out something more serious like colorectal cancer. Also, hopefully help get you some relief - this sounds very uncomfortable.
Also keep in mind - the American Cancer Society recommends colorectal cancer screening at age 45. So while this may be resolved without you getting screened - remember your first screening isn't too far off! Colorectal cancer screening can be a lifesaver

Ya the point here is to make sure to rule out cancer. Fear can keep you from taking the steps necessary to save your life before it gets too bad. There is obviously more cases of this stuff that isn’t colon cancer but there are those that are. I wouldn’t be looking for someone to just say what you want to hear. Set a gastro and see if you need a colonoscopy.
Thank you all so much for reaching out to me. I need to see a doc this has been going on for far to long and im have issues with my balance and grip on things I have been dropping things a lot lately and have horrible coordination all a sudden. Maybe it's just nerves.
