Abdominal cramps for 2 weeks (19 M)

After ordering some junk food online two weeks ago, I had Diarrhea soon after and then had a feeling of fullness like I was constipated , 2 days later my poop was back to normal but I started having abdominal cramps it is mild but constant it never goes away. Then I also started getting frequent urination with back lower pain while the abdominal cramps got worse as well as started having nausea all the time. I also started having a rumbling or growling stomach it don’t matter if I eat or not it just does so much noise and before I never had any issues with it as well as the farting increased and the burping. I burp so much now when before when I drank cola or something like that now I burp like every 10 mins ish honestly.

The frequent urination is gonne and the back lower pain but the abdominal cramps, nausea, burping, are still there and constant.

On the second week I had Diarrhea again in the morning 3 times but very watery but since then the poop is back to normal.

The Gp gave me a feeces test and also I got a meeting with a specialist this Monday .

The blood test came out normal so they said it’s not appendicitis’s or inflammation.

Idk what’s going on , I only got the symptoms after ordering the junk food so I am blaming that, I ordered spicy wings like a lot a pizza and a wrap.

I am really worried because when I search my symptoms online it comes out as bowel cancer, colon cancer or whatever and it’s making me anxious as well.

I always had Diarrhea problems for over 3-4 years but it goes away the next day normally . I normally used to get it when I felt cold in the morning and the doctor said I had IBS and it’s not like he did anything to rule out other stuff .

If someone has had any similar symptoms for so long what did you do?

Hello Lulu707, thank you for sharing with us, apologies for the delay in responding. I'm sorry to read what you are going through.

It is good that you've already spoken to your doctor and are continuing to follow up. Diet and spicy foods can cause symptoms so it is good to note when you have symptoms, keep notes on what you have eaten to see if there's a pattern. Only the doctor will be able to tell. A food sensitivity test might be suggested.

I know it can be scary to look online and see colorectal (bowel) cancer symptoms and see that you are experiencing some (or all) of the symptoms listed.

Colorectal cancer IS being diagnosed more in individuals under 50, and researchers are working to figure out why. Is it because of environmental factors? Or lifestyle (diet and exercise)? The truth is we don't exactly know why more people are being diagnosed younger but it is happening. The best thing you can do is what you are doing, which is to get fully checked out.

Do your best to try to keep calm, anxiety will make your IBS worse unfortunately.

So you have had blood drawn and those came back as normal, and you've had a stool test but don't have those results yet, is that right?

For your appointment on Monday, I recommend you bring a notebook and pen(s) and write out your questions ahead of time. In advance, ask your parents or close family members if they know of any history of cancer in the family.

Here are some questions I would ask:

-When will you have the results of the stool test?

-If they come back as positive for blood in the stool, what is the next step?

-If they come back as negative for blood in the stool, what is the next step?

-(Share any family history of cancer)

I hope this information is helpful and we are hoping that your appointment goes well with the doctor. Please keep us updated, we're here for you.

They said it’s Gastroenteritis when I told them my symptoms and they said it can last anywhere from 1-4 weeks depending on each individual so now I am waiting for the feeces test which I will get the answer on Thursday and see what my GP says from there.

If the feeces test is normal but the pain is there I am going to push for a meeting for a colorectal specialist.

Hi Lulu707,

Just checking in, did you get the feces test done yesterday?

Sorry for the late reply, yeah and I called the gp and they told me it’s fine and then the next day they called me and told me I had to do another one in a months time. They did not explain why because it was the reception who called.
