Likely Colon cancer or not likely?

I have been waiting on a colonoscopy for a year now and half now. I am so worried I have stomach pains from time to time. It's like I go through periods of pain for days, weeks sometimes and then it could be gone for awhile have had blood in my stool but it comes and goes. Today my wife is giving birth to our second child and my stomach is hurting bad. I went to the bathroom and the last two pieces of stool which were smaller had black streaks. I dont know if that's from the iron pills I took last night or was it blood dried up. I have been so worried. Can anyone tell me if this sounds similar to what they have dealt with? What should I do?

I'm so sorry to hear what u are going through, but drinking pills with iron can really cause u black or dark poop, me myself has an iron deficiency and took iron supplements and it would make my poop color black.

Hi I’ve been waiting for a colonoscopy too but having a ct scan next week. You need to ask your doctor to book you in to check. Iron does cause dark stools but you should get checked. Good luck with the new baby
