So i am 33 and just has my biopsy results back. They had found a sessile serrated poylp. I have only ever had 2 colonoscopies in 8 year and both have had multiple polyps. I suffer from proctitis(triggered by pregnancy) and have done on and off for 9 years, more so the last five. I am really worried that I will get colon cancer at some point. I went to my GP yesterday to discuss findings. She was not helpful at all, incompetant as a GP(long story on a different issue) so will go see another as i believe trying to prevent is better than waiting for the worst and hope for a cure. My partner isnt very supportive in the whole family making lifestyle changes(in fact he laughed a bit at my results) so finding it hard to do on my own and he is the only support system i really have hence looking to gp for some form of advice/help. I dont not know family medical history so thinking about this a lot. Is there anyone else who has been in this position who can offer any sort of advice? I get my next colonoscopy in 3years. My partners dad passed from cancer so i know he isnt just being a d**k.

Monitor your bowel movements (in between colonoscopies) and if you see any significant changes, go and see your GP and have a colonoscopy done if required. All the best.
