Hi all, just an update on the clinical trial that I started in December 2024 after rapid lymph node enlargement post Stem Cell Transplant. (Allogenic)
The trial is a combination of Zanubrutinib and BGB-16673 (BTK degrader).
I had a CT scan last week and my Haematologist was over the moon with the result as was I! I breathed a huge sigh of relief and feel so much more relaxed knowing that the treatment is working. It has reduced my lymph node size by over 50%.
It took a while for my Haem to find a clinical trial that I was eligible for as I was ineligible for many trials because of the transplant. I have sometimes wandered if I shouldn’t have agreed to having it, but I could not get on any Car-T trials at all.
However the transplant has actually wiped the CLL part out substantially and so I essentially am back to having SLL. ( in my layman’s terms)
So I’m onto my 5th treatment now, and to give hope to those of you starting the treatment journey, or second or third they have a lot up their sleeves in terms of what’s out there now, much more than when my journey started 10 years ago.
Thanks for the support and knowledge of members on this site, I’ve read so many of your posts and realise we are all on many different paths in our journey, at least there is always HOPE!
