secondary occurrence?

Anyone know anything about esophageal cancer and the clinical trials where they were testing inbutranib (imbruvica) as a treatment? Bf just got pet scan results and it seems it’s way more than the acid reflux symptoms that I was hoping for. Oncologist agreed to let him re-start his imbruvica but that was before this diagnosis was confirmed. Did we luck out and maybe the imbruvica will keep this monster at bay the way it did for his CLL?
