Had my 3rd infusion today. Feeling generally burned out but determined to fight on. Blood transfusion on Thursday and final infusion next Tuesday. Love and strength to all.

I'm sorry to hear that....do you have anyone to help you? Please consider mentioning to your GP and nurse specialist that you're in difficulties. Maybe have a chat with Macmillan about what may be available in your area. If you want to pm for a chat I'm always happy to hear from you. Take care.

My retuximab are every 28 days and 400mg veniclax every morning . How many retuximab are you having ? Wish I was as positive as you , 1st of 6 retuximab was nearly 2 weeks ago and still feel and I am being sick so tired and generally feel unwell . Venticlax is causing joint pain my arthritis is really flaring so taking painkillers by the bucket load , and it also causes sickness & diarrhoea but I’m struggling on as I couldn’t take Acalabrutanib because of bone pain . Doesn’t seem to be anything else to have but think this is going to have to stop .

Hi. I am having 1 infusion each week for 4 weeks. I had 4 infusions of Bendamustine and Rituximab around 5 years ago which was pretty brutal. Indeed its tough and can be very depressing. My mantra is this could be so much worse. I try to feel blessed for each day yes I have ups and downs but try to look at the positives. e:g this treatment is to improve things in the long run. I have posted my journey on this site please feel free to browse and I hope it is of help. Best wishes

Many thanks.

I could handle the Rituxin, but the Bendamustine nearly killed me.😬 You sure are a heck of a strong man. Hang in there, you’ve got this. 🙏Sally

Worst part of Rituxin for me was all the steroids they gave me to premedicate. Everytime as soon as I was unhooked from the IV I would blast off back to the car even forgetting to make my next appointment. Then I would clean and eat like a beast for the whole night afterwards. Next day I would crash hard and be exhausted for the entire day. Rest up your body needs it.

Hi. Sounds very much like my experience first time around. After my infusions o developed sepsis and due to being tube fed my weight dropped to below 9 stones the steroids turned me into an eating machine. I ballooned to over 15st. Also had to step down from my job role due to post chemotherapy cognitive impairment which still affects me to this day. Best wishes.

I'm sorry you have had it rough. I also have cognitive impairment and neuropathy in my feet from all my treatments. I know it's exhausting but you are doing great and will hopefully feel better soon. I took off after 1 appointment and was in the parking lot before my husband was even out of the hospital. He apparently stopped at the front desk and I didn't. He was like thanks for waiting on me. I was like I'm sorry I didn't even notice. I felt like I just drank a whole lot of really strong coffee. LoL We didn't even make it 🏠 before I was eating. On the bright side at least you don't have IBS with steroid munchies. I literally ate a half of a mini cheese cake last night. I don't even like cheese cake!
