Tomorrow is my 62nd Birthday and also the 7th anniversary of my diagnosis so not a date I am likely to forget. It has been quite an eventful 7 years, some ups many downs but thankfully I have endured it and I feel become a better person for the experience. The abscess that has given me so many problems this year has abated for the time being. I am to have a swab done so the medics can prescribe targeted antibiotics for that particular infection (finally). Latest blood counts are excellent and my cll is well under control according to my haematologist. So another year passes on this helter-skelter. Thank you to all who have supported me. Love and strength to all.
A date to remember. : Tomorrow is my 62nd... - CLL Support
A date to remember.
Just being here is cause for celebration, isn’t it?
Happy birthday! I'm very pleased to read that your abscess is causing you less trouble at present and that a swab is being taken to help target treatment to deal with it, hopefully this time for good. It's great that you've received such a good report from your haematologist, too. Enjoy your day tomorrow 😀
Happy birthday Jacks! It looks like we were both diagnosed at the same age. I was 55 and just turned 62 last month. I hope that your dos get things sorted out for you and get you back to good health soon. Hopefully we both get a few more (many) years on this journey with less downs and more ups along the way.
Chris
Happy Birthday for tomorrow! Glad to hear your news! 👍
🎉🎉 hope your day is joyful!
Many happy (and healthy) returns for tomorrow.
I was diagnosed just before my 50th and you're quite right, it was an unwanted gift neither of us are likely to forget .
So pleased you're getting a swab at last to hopefully see off this abscess for good.
This is the best news - with all you have been through. You are certainly a fighter. So pleased and Many Happy Returns x
I totally agree with you…..having CLL has made me a far better person in just so many ways!!! I am very thankful!
Panz 🙏💕🌈🙂☘️👍
Happy Birthday! Tomorrow is my son’s birthday. Please enjoy a piece of his virtual birthday cheesecake!🍥
Happy Birthday Jacks! I'm so glad you're doing better and you deserve a celebration. Kim
Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns. 🎉 🎂 I was diagnosed at a similar age (54). I’ve had a number of treatments — all bearable — and I’ve recently turned 75 and already thinking about how to celebrate my 80th! Currently being treated with Venetoclax. I wish you a long and happy life.
Happy birthday and it’s great to read good news! You have endured a really tough time, let’s hope that your tide is turning.
All the best, Michael
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Jack, hope you are able to celebrate. Good luck for the future. Regards Eric.
Happy birthday jacks, I'm glad your abscess has eased and you may get the right antibiotic at last. I hope things continue to improve after the rough year you've had, God bless, Terry
Many happier returns - and, at last, some signs of improvement and more targeted therapy. Keep on keeping on! 🎂
Thank you.
Happy birthday🥳🥳. The odds of being diagnosed on your birthday im so sorry about that. Dr. Lamanna and I share the same birthday (not sure what year she was born) which I've been wanting to ask her for a while now but it's probably inappropriate. Also me and my husband got married on my birthday. Have a great birthday today🌞🥳🥳🌷🌷🎂🎂🍰🍰🧁🧁🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈.
Happy birthday Jack. A targeted antibiotic should make all the difference (my husband has an abscess on his brain and it’s only since they started the targeted antibiotics that it started to shrink).
All the best,
Jackie
Happy Birthday. Hopefully this will be a wonderful year for you. Best wishes!!!
Thank you Analeese.
HAPPY BIRTDAY, JACK! And many many more to come without any lingering, pesky, abcess!
Happy birthday Jacks. I hope you're having a good day.
Wishing you all the best for the future - and for proper healing of that abcess. So glad they've done a swab now.
Paula
Happy birthday and many, many happy returns!
It’s good to hear things are going well.
Paul, too, was diagnosed at 55… he’s now 65
Stay safe,
Fran 😉
He is feeling very well, thank you.
His prostate cancer seems to be under control and we are enjoying living in a different part of the country, nearer to our sons. We are trying to be careful, with regards to Covid, but we are not shielding like we were for two and a half years.
We shall meet Paul’s new consultant next week, so we’ll see how his blood numbers are then. Before we moved, they reduced his Venetoclax to three tablets a day, instead of four, so fingers crossed!
I’ll let you know how it goes…thanks for asking.
Fran 😊
Thank you.
good to hear Jack, we are waiting to hear that the abscess is finally vanquished.
Thanks Ron.
