Ibrutinib and Venetoclax side effect

Hi Everyone,

I have been on Ibrutinib since April this year and added Venetoclax 2 months ago.

3 weeks ago my face and chest areas developed many red spots like acneiform, my hematologists

not quite sure how to deal my condition, he just prescribed some antibiotic for me and I

don't see any improvement yet.

Wonder if anyone has similar experience ? Appreciate your advise.

Hi I also suffered with red spots all over my face taking ibrutinib and Venetoclax. I saw a dermatologist and was prescribed Eumovate cream and Dermol face wash which helped. Once I finished taking ibrutinib my face cleared up instantly overnight and I've never had this rash since. I finished my treatment after 4 years and am now in remission. Hope this is of some help for you.

I always believed mine was petechiae

I don't my condition is petechiae.My rash are slightly inflamed and stinging pain, some spots look acne like bumps to form.

I hope my Dermatologist can give me the answer. Thanks your input.

I didn’t have those symptoms but was on a clinical trial with both meds with 820mg total of each per day. It was stopped last April when four of 45 participants had serious heart issues and two died. The trial was run by dana farber and I believe an alert was issued.

My Hematology did inform me such incident. He warded me 5 days in hospital for observation when I started Venetoclax .
