I am being boastful now. However, because I count you all amongst ny friends, even though most of you are virtual, it makes no difference. My wonderful husband and our two best friends planned a surprise couple of days away to celebrate my 'big 70th ' birthday. I had absolutely no idea where I was going, was only given guidelines on packing. We have been to a beautiful country house hotel near Macclesfield. Yesterday, my actual birthday saw us at the Tatton Park RHS flower show. A perfect day in spite of rain. I was then treated to an hour of present opening. Throughly spoilt with some beautiful gifts. Heading homeward now with beautiful memories.

Happy Birthday. I have 2 birthday celebrations. 1 my actual birth and 2 the day I was told my treatment for CLL was stopping as I’d been in remission for 3 cycles (FCR). Both important dates and need a celebration!Good excuse anyway.

Happy Birthday! When you first got this diagnosis you may have thought you wouldn’t see this day! But here you are!
Thank you, yes that was my initial thought. Then I was told the difference between a CHRONIC illness and an ACUTE illness which gave me hope. I am still terrified before each consultation. With the help of my medication ….. Acalabrutinib, I hope that I have many more healthy years to come.

It is lovely to celebrate becoming 70 years old! We had a surpise celebration last month (for our 70th birthdays this year - my husband is the one with CLL plus a few other things). Congratulations and enjoy the years to come.

It is hard to believe that I have entered my 7th decade. When I reached 30 I felt old but now that is distant I am looking forward to many more years.
