How could 2022 be any worse! . I do recall thinking the same of 2021 and I guess it was. It can't go on forever though.

I don’t wanna be a downer but I believe it will be a bad year again but I think we are coming out of this sometime late 2022

Don't get me wrong it's not going away but I think omicron will give a great deal of natural immunity globally. We, the rich, fat, selfish 'civilised' countries (UK here) were not going to help significantly the global vaccination effort anytime soon. The risk of further variants remains but it has been demonstrated in real life that there is cross protection from one variant to another. Many people will feel the effects less, more treatments will become available. Science will prevail and catchup, but there remain lessons to be learned.
