Travel insurance. I’m currently undergoing venetoklax / Retuxumab. Regime started 8 weeks ago. Looking to hopefully visit relatives overseas next year. Has anyone any experience with travel insurance in the same circumstances.

Are you in UK? If you are and either you your partner ore any of your parents were in UK services.. The forces Pension society does travel insurance no medical questions asked the oly proviso is it doesn't cover if you travel against medical advice. Its not cheap though as you might expect

I am going down this path too. New provider takes over on November 1st. I called several companies and either got no cover or ridiculous prices (£'000) largely down to the fact that I was undergoing treatment. W&W is OK and in remission too, but hard to get cover during treatment. Forces Pension society is a very reasonable way to go and not overly expensive (£365 or so for a couple)

If in UK. Try Staysure.I had a quote just yesterday for £323 annual trip policy for Europe for joint.

Whole world was about £600 Inc cruising and I have lots of health pry on top of CLL.

Not that I'm going anywhere - just dreaming!

Thanks - I'm pleased to hear that you were able to get covered at a "reasonable" rate. Seems like I need to wait until the end of my treatment programme (July 2023) before getting competitive quotes. For now I am going the Forces Pension Society route which covers everything as long as you are fit to travel. My consultant says that they issue letters to this effect quite frequently.

I always try different comparison sites. Planning a week in Germany and I had quotes from £260 to £800!!!!! Staysure was the best and I've used them many times. Had a claim a few years ago and they were absolutely brilliant.

World First gave me the most competitive quote in 2019 for a trip to the States. They were very thorough in their questioning but equally seemed knowledgeable. I was, and still am, being treated with Venetaclax, other companies would either not insure me or the premium was prohibitive. As it happened by the time I had double checked flight and accommodation availability Covid hit and I did not take up the quote or go ahead with the trip.

Maybe worth an enquiry. Good luck.
