My IgM is always very 715 (44-209). What does that mean ? IgA and IgG always normal. CBC near normal. CMP all normal range.

High IgM meaning ?
My IgM is <10; IgA is 3 and IgD is zero and they no longer test for the IgD as it has been zero for years and that requires a separate test and needs to be sent out. I do receive IVIG every 4 weeks but that is just IgG’s.

IgM is the immunoglobulin that is produced when the immune system sees an antigen, eg virus, for the 1st time. Subsequently exposure to the same antigen produces IgG. The 2nd exposure has a much more rapid response. Its the basis of vaccination effect, herd immunity relies on it too.If your IgM level is sustained raised please ask your Haematologist for advice.

There is a B cell disorder similar to CLL in some ways that causes a high monoclonal IgM called Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinaemia.
Your high IgM should be tested to see if it is monoclonal or polyclonal. If it's polyclonal then it's not Waldenstrom's but due to another cause. If it is monoclonal then Waldenstrom's needs to be ruled out. 715 is not very high in terms of monoclonal IgM protein and shouldn't cause you any problems but high levels can cause blood viscosity issues.
Wladenstrom's and CLL are treated in a similar way.

Real important information! Since you indicate that my IgM seems not very high, my hematologist probably never discussed it with me. Now at almost 87 my CLL seems well under control after two years on Imbruvica , resulting in near normal CBC's, perfect CMP's, and no symptoms except rhinitis (allergic, temperature triggered).
I have IgM very high. After citometry, imunoelectrophoresis (lambda+),and biopsy lymph node with PH,I have new Dg.MZL.About 15% CLL have high IgM.
I have high IgE. About 2000. I guess with CLL are B-Cells are strange....
