Just came back from my 6 month blood work. At 72 ALC after 5 yr watch and wait. Other than high monocytes, and glucose of 105, all other measures in normal range. However, my first test of b -12 came back at 1300. Normal high is 900. I expected it to be low! Any thoughts?

Thank you.
Come ask again when you have a number of tests, to look at trends. PS. Some sources say up to 950 picograms/ml is normal. So you aren't as far "out" as, say 2-3 times the max. And the sample ideally is "fasting", not after haven eaten a meal containing B12. If you ate breakfast or lunch then gave blood, there you go, high level explained.
The fact that you have a leukemia can cause an elevated level:

And so far it seems this is more of an "association" as opposed to a cause/effect. So just note it, see if it's a true elevation or simply a one-off.
My oncologist recommended B12 supplements to me, and I know my B12 results vary quite a bit based on recency of supplement intake. They are over 1500 most of the time, and I feel great and it has not been an issue with my care team.
A high B12, not an issue.
B12 levels of those on injection replacement therapy can be sky high.
Unlike iron which at raised levels is tissue injurious.

I'd worry more about the high glucose than the Vitamin B. Watch your A1C.
