Pulse flucuciating from 70’s to 107 upon standing. I am on Calquence for CLL and my hemoglobin is 10. 9. I had a sigmoidoscopy yesterday. Has anyone experienced this with calquence? Thank you

Calquence with Rapid Pulse
Hi, how long have you been on Calquence? I am on my fourth month and while I haven’t experienced a rapid pulse at any time, my doctor did advise I monitor my blood pressure during my first and second cycles. I have a pulse monitor at home which I used too. Given he suggested it, perhaps it is a side effect of Calquence? Your need for a sigmoidoscopy interested me as I have had upper abdomen tenderness/pain since starting Calquence. After a CT scan showed nothing - and before going down the inner tube route! - my doctor suggested I come off for a few days and then go on half dose for a few days. While the pain hasn’t completely gone it is so much better. Enough for me believe the Calquence is responsible and not some other nasty. Just wondered if your troubles started at the same time as the Calquence? There might be a connection.
After my FCR treatment finished, my hemoglobin fell to about 80 (minimum normal is 130 ). I was out of breath after going up one flight of stairs and if I remember correctly, my pulse would increase. I would also get dizzy if I went from sitting to standing too quickly.
Once I had a blood transfusion, things got a lot better and as time went on my hemoglobin increased to near normal levels.
I don't know whether your hemoglobin level, 10.9, is below normal. Your blood tests must use different units than mine. However, if it is below normal, the your pulse fluctuations could be caused by low hemoglobin. You should check that hypothesis with your doctor.
