Calquence

My Dr wants me to start Calquence. I’m concerned about the side effects. Is anyone on Calquence and how isit going?

I originally qualified for getting help with the cost of my Calquence but I no longer qualify. Does anyone know where to purchase Calquence or the generic equivalent? Maybe from A pharmacy from India?

But my main question was different: is it true that during pneumonia, Calquence should be suspended?

I’ve been on Calquence for 8 mos and counts are good. Due for IVIG in a couple weeks. Advice? Thank you!!

I am wondering if others have experienced increased anxiety while on Calquence. I also struggle with sleep. I have been on he drug for approximately 2 and half months. The horrible side effect headaches have subsided but my anxiety has really been more challenging as has my sleep.

I am supposed to get a pet scan this week and then start calquence. I am normally a very active person and am wondering what my tolerance to physical activity may be. Also looking on internet it appears this is an extremely expensive drug.

I started treatment for my relapsed CLL about 8 weeks ago. 2 doses of Calquence daily and 4 weekly infusions of Gazyva, The infusions are now going to be 6 more done on a monthly basis. I have noticed lots of hair loss that seems to be getting worse. I have read this shouldn’t be a side effect.

Because I have a genetic defect in my liver CYP2C9 - Pharmacist checked to make sure my liver could handle Calquence and all was good. So they started me on 100 mg - one X a day. Other than unmutated all other markers are good.

Hello, My dad started 100mg/daily of Calquence for manle cell lymphoma on September 9, 2024- a smaller dose because of his age, and high risk status. He has lost a lot of weight and is always tired.

A month ago, I went to get a haircut and noticed a bald spot. I didn’t think much of it and assumed it was just a bad haircut. But weeks later, I realized the patch was growing. I went to the dermatologist, who diagnosed it as alopecia areata. I received a shot, and I think the hair is regrowing,

At full dosage there is 14 days of Brukinsa and 45 days of CalQuence....

Do others have Calquence experiences?

I know that one of the drawbacks of Calquence is tiredness so I wonder if it’s just the drug affecting him now?

I have had CLL in w&w status for 18 months but with continued weight loss doctor started me on Calquence 6 weeks ago. No weight gain as yet. Does anyone have experience with gaining back wanted weight with CLL?

I’ve been on Calquence for several months now - all good there, but I struggle more with actually getting it delivered when scheduled and working with “coupons” to cover co-payment. It’s so confusing as McKesson and the support organizations give information out one piece at a time.

Since I am taking Calquence, would anyone know if I should stop prior? I will obviously ask my doctor, but this forum is very useful too. Thank you. Neil
