High LDH

Hi guys has anyone here gotten a high ldh level mine been 889 and im a sickler "sickle cell" and been on voricanazole for 6 months for an infection.but also have a history of aml and now im quite scared that the aml comes back is there any possibility that the high ldh may be related to my sickle cell anemia? Oh and I also have elevated liver enzymes anyone familiar please help?

I see that you have just joined our community, which is for those with Chronic, not Acute leukaemia, which you've had (AML). So we really can't comment on your question, though I note that there are quite a few papers, such as this: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/271... and other papers, noting that LDH may be raised by a number of mechanisms with sickle cell anaemia.

While that may be reassuring, please do check with your specialist.
