For the UK the reference for GPs and vaccinations is the "Green Book" which Newdawn mentions in healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Snip: The NHS has recently (2019) written new recommendations for vaccines. Scroll down to the section "Vaccines for people with underlying health conditions"

This document is helpful to convince GPs in the UK that as well as annual flu jabs, we definitely need the two different pneumococcal vaccines PCV13 (Prevnar13) and PPV (Pneumovax23)..

The repeat vaccinations are mentioned for UK & NHS here:

SNIP "How often is the pneumococcal vaccine given?
............
People aged 65 and over only need a single pneumococcal vaccination. This vaccine is not given annually like the flu jab.
People with a long-term health condition may need just a single one-off pneumococcal vaccination or vaccination every 5 years, depending on their underlying health problem. "

Correct. But sometimes you may need to have an argument with the practice nurse and quote the Green Book as has been mentioned several times here and also some patients are finding shortages of the vaccine.
Good luck
