Facial sweating with eating on Venetoclax

I have been on Venetoclax since Feb 2023. Over the past few weeks I have developed a strange symptom... every time I eat I start sweating from my upper jaw to the top of my head. I am curious if anyone else had experienced this? My appetite is practically non existent and when the sweating starts I cannot eat any more. I mentioned this to my dr and he stated it's probably related to the medication. I will finish my treatment in March and I'm hoping this symptom resolves.

Interesting side effect. It doesn't sound pleasant. I have not had that but I do know not only do the drugs cause random effects but the disease can effect our body temp too. Hopefully someone else here can speak to this. March is coming up quickly, hang in there!

Yes, me. In fact whole body sweating and it is very unpleasant. Maybe V - no one seems to know although did ask the clinicians about it. Hoping someone else has more info.

Certainly interesting. And to show up just weeks away from completing treatment.

I'm so sorry you're going thru this and hope it resolves when you finish treatment. I found this article that describes it as craniofacial hyperhidrosis. You've probably already searched online, but in case it's helpful:

"The term “hyperhidrosis” means excessive (hyper) sweating (hidrosis). It can occur on its own, or as a result of another condition or medication. When excessive sweating affects the head and face, it is known as craniofacial hyperhidrosis." medicalnewstoday.com/articl...

It describes variations of this and possible causes.
