I am in treatment and have to go to my appointment tomorrow for my refill of Ibrutinib. Do not want to go. Terrified. Any one else in the same position as me? What can I do?
**UPDATE**
Have phoned the hospital. My nurse has no idea of what’s going on. Phoned the treatment helpline and told to go as normal. Phoned my GP no masks and my pharmacy doesn’t answer the phone.
Looks like I’m going to expose myself. Shielding not yet working.
** FINAL UPDATE**
Got a phone call back. Going to hospital but the access is restricted. I will go in. Get my exams. Get 3 moths worth of medication and go home. Fingers crossed.
Please stay safe.

I completely understand your concerns. I am in a similar position as I have my 9 month checks this week on Flair Trial which means BMB, CT and bloods - a few hours in hospital. My nurse has rung to confirm that it is still going ahead. So... deep breath, take all sensible precautions, wash, wash and wash hands etc etc. My husband will be waiting outside the hospital in the car and I intend to put all my clothing in the wash the second I get home! If anyone has any other advice...?
** update**
I have just had a phone call to say that my appointment has been postponed for two months. My consultant considers me to be a high risk patient.
Please let me know everything went OK for you.....and as for exposing yourself....that is sort of frowned on ....oh wait....you mean to Corona....just forget I said anything
