I am in treatment and have to go to my appointment tomorrow for my refill of Ibrutinib. Do not want to go. Terrified. Any one else in the same position as me? What can I do?

I don't want to go to medical appointments now either unless absolutely necessary. You can call the clinic or the nurse line if you have one and see whether your appointment could be done by phone. Many clinics are trying to do appointments by phone wherever possible. As for prescription, some places will now deliver because of pandemic. I am facing same issues in first week of April.
Hi
I don’t blame you
I have to go for blood work
Don’t you get them delivered??
Maybe they can ship them?
Mine cancel appointment and doing a virtual appointment on phone...
Wish you the best!!
🙏💪🏻
Wishing you well for tomorrow Flavia.
Currently the majority of UK hospitals expect you to collect prescriptions from the hospital pharmacy.

Wishing you well - we are facing anxiety and stress. Scary times indeed ... phone and see if any alternative ideas.
All the very best -
How lucky are we to have a safe place in the CLL support -
Kind regards Helen from Australia 🇦🇺
I know how you feel. I was afraid to go to the lab and then pharmacy.
Hubby due them tomo at Addenbrooks but told Ibrutinib will be sent by courier once telephone convo has been had. I guess we take the chance his bloods are ok. He’d rather do this for another 6 weeks
Seems NHS trusts still have to come up with a common approach as mine in West Sussex has not said anything about courier yet still an order and collect from the hospital pharmacy which just happens to be in one of the busiest corridors in the hospital. Maybe not these days but still a worry even if someone else is kind enough to collect.
Add to that getting a new prescription note issued is still an unknown procedure as that would normally be done at least for me on Ibrutinib at a clinic appointment probably replaced by phone call now but still a worry with only one month left of the current script.
Bluejays I would speak to your CNS. Last week I had a conversation with mine and we discussed having a blood test in my surgery that I can walk to and a telephone consultation and then possibly getting prescription collected by someone else. I still have 2 months left so hopefully they will be well organised by then.

Hi everyone greetings from Australia. I had an appointment with my doctor today and just as I was about to leave the house she sent me a text message to say i was not go to the surgery and that she would call me at the appt time for a consultation. New scripts will be faxed to my pharmacy who will deliver them to my house. Pretty well organised there .
Yes I am doing to the locked down isolation thing here in WA. Over 70s are to stay inside .. it’s very quite in the streets here in Fremantle it’s usually a busy place and tourists abound. But not now. everything is cancelled, closed down except essential services. We had a cruise ship in tonight but only to re fuel but noone is disembark. As they have 2-3 hundred with URTIs
I did managed to go for a walk down to the beachin the late afternoon. No one about just the odd one or two walkers like me. But the beach had several young people dotted about mainly overseas backpackers I’d say. Lying in the full sun in the barest of bikinis. They’ll be suffering with sunburn later. Our Autumn here in the West has been warmer than usual and quite humid which were not used to. 35-37c this week.
Night time here going to bed

Hi Flavia,
Sometimes we just have o do a thing we don't want to. I had to go to Walmart today or starve. Just had to be done.
You should be OK...just don't breathe at all the entire time....well, that might not work so great either.
But can you also be my #1 CLL Girlfriend tomorrow?
I’ll take your offer! Being your #1 will make up. And I also had to buy food. Although the government keeps sending me letters not to leave. Food is necessary. Hope your trip wasn’t too stressful.
