Congratulations everyone, for making the forum the GO TO place for CLL support.

I know it has been amazing for me. Thank you everyone.

Noteworthy, is the fact that even if ones post is not replied to, commented on or "liked" it does not mean its not been read.

Thank you Jig, and congratualations to you too!!! You were the first person who answered me when I entered the CLL community and the most important, you gave me a very professional answer. Thanks a lot Jig, I will never forget it. Many greetings and congratulations to you and to all members from Croatia 💖💖💖

I love HealthUnlocked!

I have found people that know exactly what I’m going through because they themselves have gone through it or are going through it. It’s made my world not so lonely when it comes to my CLL. Having all the support during my recent treatment helped me so much. I am so grateful to all the members. ❤️😊

I told a friend of mine about the support that I get here. She joined for a different diagnosis and it has changed her life.

So......Scotland? Looks lovely. I’ve never been. As a mountain walker (small fry, nothing to strenuous) - After watching the film ‘Edie’ I was fascinated by the mountain in the film, Suilven? And its unusual shape.

Thank you so much for taking the time to join the Admin team. You are all most appreciated. I also totally agree with your noteworthy fact of reading posts. Most of us dip in and out depending on time or need, replying to everything is not possible. Sometimes, the very act of just writing something down helps. Also, although we cover serious subjects, humour is also ok. It’s just nice to have a place to come. For me, although my CLL is public knowledge, this is MY place to come and not be judged, pitied or anything else if I’m having a bad day.

Thank you all.

The back story to that photo - was a bucket list event - I knew I was to get FCR and so I made a dash for the North while I could - the The Outer Hebrides for 3 weeks. Lived in my camper van. That sea colour is as it is, no photo-shopping!

It was a special time for me. Wonderful place, end of May - quiet, mindfulness stuff, no midges, lovely lovely people.

Remote!

That is so beautiful ! What an amazing experience. Clear skies at night.

Back in 2007 when I thought I had 3/5 years I wrote a very modest bucket list ! Last year going to a test match at Lords was the end of the list ! My friends keep telling me to start again, but I was happy to have ticked off what I wanted.

Any left on your list ?

Wow! My son has a friend who worked there for a while and was lucky enough to get a very good view of the Northern Lights.

That is simply an amazing shot. I had to look up where that is, so far north! I doubt the weather is like that many days of the year!

How does the membership of this forum compare to the other forums on Healthunlocked?

I cant resist replying. The photo is undoctored. The colours are as they are. My time there was so therapeutic. Healed by nature.

I was facing treatment in early 2017, and decided to visit the Outer Hebrides for the first time. Late May. Before the midges, and the crowds.

It was an amazing trip. I was alone in my T6 Camper van for 3 weeks. I was at peace. No one knew I was ill. It was like I had a holiday from CLL. Such a precious time.

It is remote up there. One needs to like ones own company. The locals are so kind.

I would return tomorrow.

The first night was -3 and snow. (end of May) Then 15 deg and blowing a 5/6 for 3 weeks with sun.

I returned home ready to face FCR. Which has been amazing for me.

I do have another forum membership... Shhhh! dont tell anyone!

I have haemochromatosis. Iron over load. Not a major issue in my case.

This is the better forum, by far! ( Just between you and me... ;-))

We are just in the top ten most active of the 700+ communities on HealthUnlocked, with about 4,000 of our members posting or replying in a given month. We are the most active international online CLL support community - and by a considerable margin.
