I was diagnosed 18 years ago. Went through the watch and wait for 15 years then I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer hr2+ I was treated with taxol & herceptin About a year later my lymph nodes started to swell in my neck. When they got uncomfortably big my doctor started me on Imbruvica. The one noticeable side effect was tiredness. After starting Imbruvica my lymph nodes were down considerably after only 2 weeks. My wbc is now down to 14. When it gets down to where it should be my doctor will give me another bone marrow test to see if I’m in remission. So far I’ve been lucky.

Anyone have swelling of feet? Is this a side effect of Imbruvica? I’ve been taking this for a little more than 2 years.

Hi cllady
All those side effects are not necessarily what happens to everyone. They have to list side effects if they are reported. I looked it up and I’ve been on imbruvica since May 2017 and I haven’t gotten any of the above. My foot was swollen. I put ice on it and it’s gone. Any gray hair I had seems to be changing to brown. I haven’t had to color my grays since September!! I guess you have to weigh the good with the bad and make a decision. My lymph nodes were so big. Felt like I was starting to choke. My choice was made and I don’t regret my decision.
Good luck to you
Today I read some old notes I made about having swollen lower legs in April 2016. I never had that before, and 'fixed' it with compression socks. A little more than a year later, I was diagnosed first with CLL, then they changed it to MZL with atypical CLL markers, then they changed it to PLL (within 6 months, three different labels). So, if i wasn't so quick to 'fix' it on my own in 2016, I think I might have found it was cancer and swelling related to cancer if I went to a dr. to ask about it (pre-imbruvica).
