We see so many news reports about breakthroughs and studies, and frankly, most of the reporting is just clickbait designed to increase web page revenue or advertise for someone else.

I came across a good source of intelligent criticism of health reports in the news:

Have a look, especially when you read a news item that makes your heart rate change, or when you are shopping for therapy, drugs, or foods.

Just as I was getting to know the site, it looks like their funding will run out at the end of 2018:
