Getting better

I have been too slow in sharing good news. Last week I learned that my bone marrow biopsy done 28 days after getting my CAR-T cells showed no copies of the DNA signature of my CLL- this is at least one log lower than the usual MRD testing by flow cytometry finding one cell in 100,000. More details on this and my recent celebrations on my blog cllsociety.org/car-t-blog/, plus from ASH 2017 Dr. Dearden discusses combination therapy and more in the website proper.

Are you injecting IVIG now?

Yes. I have had ITP so that is one reason and the other is that I have no B cells to no plasma cells, so no immunoglobulins. They had fallen from low to even lower on my last testing.
