As you know, I’ve been blogging on my experience and we are adding interviews and research on CAR-T (see: cllsociety.org/car-t-and-ot... but that may slow down if I am part of the 90% that end up in hospital. Check out our CAR-T educational comic book while you are there on our site, but my wife may been doing much of the posting.
Anyway, I wanted to stay in touch and look forward to continuing our conversations when I am on the far side of this with no evidence of CLL left in my blood, marrow, and nodes.
Brian, you are in the thoughts of many of us. I wish you the best of everything tomorrow and the days to follow. Your commitment to educating us and sharing your experiences gives courage to many when we are facing yet another decision relating to our treatment. Thank you for continuing to give so knowledgeably and so generously.
Wishing you all the best Brian! May those modified T cells work their magic and return you to a fabulous state of health. Hugs and good thoughts coming to you and your family.
Brian, even for a medic expert in this subject, it’s still scary, ground breaking therapy!
Wishing you well and hope the outcome is all you wish for yourself. Thinking of your supportive wife and family who will be willing you on all the way too with their own anxieties.
You must be getting the CAR-T as I type? I wish you all the best on this journey with little to no side effects and long lasting remission. Sending warm wishes/thoughts from sunny, mild Tampa, FL
Brian, others have played this game well. But today is your very own run at the brass ring. Your very own March Madness. So picture this: Here you are in life’s championship, the seats are full of us screaming fans. And at the buzzer......from half court.......you swish it!!! As a wise man said, “You are strong and we are in it together!” Thanks, friend. Bud
Read a lot about the smell of creamed corn for transplant patepiebpnts - for everyone in the room. While maybe not pleasant, if the transplant works, who cares. Just got the new CAR smell. A little slow tonight, obviously!
