I’m about to try this new business in my neighborhood that has these massage beds that you met infra-red rays, they want me to sign a release which has alerted me that maybe I shouldn’t be using infra-red. Does anybody have any experience or knowledge on this topic, much appreciated. Thank you!

CLL and Infra-Red Massage Beds
I tried some sessions with infrared beds. Though it was in a massage parlor, the bed, itself, did not have any massaging action. The purpose was to be in a cocoon of heat that promotes sweat, with the hope that toxins will be released in the sweat.
Personally, I didn't feel that it did anything for me. I had about 8 sessions over a period of time, once or twice a week. I love cold weather, and have never been able to tolerate extreme heat. After leaving each session, I found my energy lagging, just as it does in hot, humid weather in the summer. I stopped going, even though I still had a few sessions left that I had paid for in advance.
If you love feeling really hot and sweaty, it may feel good to you. Whether it actually releases toxins that help with CLL is up for questioning in my mind.
Starsafta, Thank you for sharing your experience. This one is not that type. It is a bed you lay on that has rollers that roll up and down your body that emit infra-red and also heat up and is supposed to penetrate sore muscles. After I posted my question, I received an email from my CLL specialist who said it was fine for me so I did it! 35 min of relaxation and it felt good. Thank you and be well!
Sounds interesting. Glad it worked for you. Could you feel heat? And do you think it’s better than a massage from a trained muscular therapist?
I recently purchased a sauna with infra-red heat. I love the heat from it, and use the 30 minutes in it to listen to very calming music with nature sounds as well as doing meditation and prayer. I see it as very beneficial for relaxation and spirituality, so that should be healthy. I have heard that sweating helps clear toxins out of the body. I made sure to get one that is Canadian made and of surgical steel so that I will not be breathing in toxins from heating parts and wood. I would recommend that you ask about the heating elements to make sure that they are not produced offshore, as these are the ones that can potentially emit toxins that you would breath; we definitely don't want more of that. In regards to massage, my Oncologist indicated that massage is ok for myself at this time, but only because my lymph nodes are not large, and that it should not be a deep massage. Hope this helps in your decisions. I am sure others will have other factual information to base this on.

I am not aware of any specific danger to CLL patients from infra-red lights
