Hi Rutba

Hard to come up with an answer for you, it is so hard to see a loved one suffering and be unable to help. I feel for you, but presumably your Dad is already under medical supervision, which is all I think that can be done.

With our immune systems so poor it can take so much longer to get on top of an infection.

Take care of yourself, best wishes to you and your Dad.

If your father is on treatment call your medical team without delay as nuetropenic sepsis is a danger and can be fatal!

If on watch and wait still contact the medics as with a low immune system things could take a turn for the worst!

I am for ever reminding people that we need to use our medics for any change in our health as our immune systems at all stages can be compromised. We should be managing our health alongside our doctors !

I just came out of the hospital after a two week fever. I had been on Augmentin and then in the hospital, I had every heavy IV antibiotic they had, but it turns out I had mycoplasma pneumonia and all I needed was a Z pack. Got to go home on the azithromycin. Maybe he is on the wrong antibiotic.
